Young Creators Collective is an inspiring after-school programme designed for creative young minds who love fashion, art and making things with their hands.
Our classes are about so much more than sewing.
At Sonlia School of Fashion, we aim to create a safe, uplifting and inspiring environment where children feel accepted, encouraged and free to express their individuality through fashion and art.
During this programme, students will:
• Learn the fundamentals of hand sewing
• Gain basic sewing machine skills
• Explore creative design concepts and fashion inspiration
• Develop problem-solving and creative thinking skills
• Complete a range of fashion and textile projects throughout the term
• Build their own Student Fashion Portfolio to document their ideas, designs and achievements
• Have the opportunity to be involved in a professional-style photoshoot featuring their creation
• Secure a place in our end-of-year Sonlia Fashion Show (date to be announced)
All equipment is supplied. Most materials are included; however some specialised fabrics, braids or embellishments may incur an additional cost depending on the student's design choices.
Please note that full term sign-up is required due to limited spaces and structured project progression throughout the programme.
We are incredibly excited to begin this creative journey with your child and cannot wait to see their confidence and creativity shine.
Date: Starting Thursday 16th July, then every Thursday afternoon until end of term.
Program duration: 3.30pm–5.30pm
