Learn the art of hand sewing and embellishment while transforming something you already own into a unique piece!
Students will bring along an item of clothing they would love to give a new look. They’ll learn basic hand-sewing techniques and use a beautiful selection of pearls, beads, braids, lace and embroidery to decorate and personalise their garment.
This workshop encourages students to experiment with their own style while learning practical sewing skills and discovering how we can rework and reinvent clothing instead of always buying new.
Includes:
• Introduction to basic hand-sewing skills
• Learn how to securely attach embellishments
• Pearls, beads, braids, lace & embroidery materials to choose from
• Create their own individual design
• Take home their newly embellished garment
• Beginner friendly – no sewing experience needed
Students need to bring: One item of clothing they would like to embellish and bring to life.
PLEASE NOTE: This workshop will run Week 2 only and is available as an afternoon session only.
