Where fashion meets art! Design and create your own 3D fashion masterpiece using beautiful fabrics, textures and embellishments.
In this 3-hour workshop, students will work from a fashion illustration printed onto canvas and bring the design to life using real fabrics, tulle, trims, beads, sequins and embellishments.
Students will explore fashion design techniques as they select fabrics, experiment with draping and layering, and learn basic hand-sewing skills to attach and embellish elements of their design. The result will be a completely individual 3D fashion artwork ready to proudly display at home.
This workshop is a little more detailed and hands-on, perfect for young creatives who love fashion, textiles, sewing and design.
Students will learn:
- Basic fashion design and textile techniques
- Fabric selection, colour and composition
- Draping and layering fabrics to create shape and movement
- Basic hand-sewing and embellishment techniques
